I find that sometimes you only need a program once or twice to perform some function, edit a photo and then the program just takes up space on your hard drive. It seems to me a waste of money to me to spend $$$$ for something you would use so little. This way you can try out the program and if you like it , you can purchase the full featured version or use the freeware version if it meets your needs.
